Knee Bursitis
We all have Bursa’s present in our body near the joints. They are like a small pocket in which the fluid is filled. They are found in between the bone and the soft tissue just for the better movement of the bone. There are around 15 bursas near the knee. In case, if the inflammation occurs in any of the bursae, it can cause burning knee pain. Now, the reason behind the inflammation in the bursa can be because of doing any prolonged activity which is putting pressure on the knees or is hurting the bursa. Because of any injury also, you can see the development of bursitis in your knee. There will be swelling and the redness around your knee if you have got the knee bursitis. In this case, one should refer to the doctor immediately for the treatment so that it doesn’t become worse.
Trauma
One of the reasons for the burning knee pain is the trauma also which can be caused because of any injury in the knee. It can be because of a sudden hit on the knee or any fall which has injured the knee tissue or fracture. The burning pain can be felt if there is a muscle tear or a ligament tear or even if it is a fracture. There will be swelling in the knee or the nearby area and also, you will feel a lot of pain. It can be treated with the help of an orthopaedic or physician if consulted immediately.
Infection
The knee infection can also cause the burning knee pain. The reason behind the infection is the bacteria in the environment around us. These sources of bacteria can be anything but once they enter the body they can go to knees or even other joints as well. And they infect the knee and the knee tissue. Due to which you will constantly feel the burning pain and swelling as well. You may also get the high temperature because of the infection and the constant pain. It can be treated after knowing the exact reason behind the bacterial infection.
Arthritis
This is generally faced in the old age or above 50 years of age. But this can also cause the burning knee pain. There are 2 types of arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Both of these can cause swelling and pain in the knee especially in the morning hours after rest or sitting in the same position for long hours.
