Flossing – We all know that brushing our teeth twice a day is very important. But most of us don’t know that even flossing is very important for dental health.  Many time, by brushing teeth the food particles do not come out and the plaque remains there only. But when we do flossing, we not only take out the foodstuffs stuck in between our teeth. But we also are able to remove plaque and germs from our teeth which are hidden and which may cause irritation and inflammation in our teeth.

Make visits to the dentists – I can surely say that, many of us do not even get the full body check-up done every year. We visit the doctor only when we are not well. And the same we do with the dentists also. When there is some extreme problem or pain occurs in our teeth, then only we visit dentists. Remember, getting your teeth check-up at least twice in a year is very important. So, visit the dentists for teeth check-up as it will help in avoiding and treating a big dental problem also.

Use natural mouthwash – Nowadays, even dentists also suggest that use natural mouthwash which are free from the alcohol content. Many studies have proved that using mouthwash with alcohol content can be the reason for increasing mouth cancer. So, you must avoid using such mouthwashes. There are many natural mouthwashes available in the market like the peppermint mouthwash. Even you can take a suggestion from your dentists also for the natural mouthwashes.




Clean your tongue and mouth surfaces also – Tongue is also a part of your oral health. And you cannot just ignore it as may build up the house of plaque and germs. It will cause bad breath also. There are tongue scrapers available in the market. You can use them for cleaning your tongue. Or else you can use your brush also for cleaning your tongue. But use it gently on the tongue and other mouth surfaces.

Skip acidic drinks and sugary food – Both the acidic drinks and sugary food can cause many dental problems. The acidic content in these food items and beverages softens the minerals present in the tooth enamel and then dissolve them which lead to cavities. It will also cause pain in your teeth and can increase the sensitivity also.

Take time in brushing your teeth – It is for those who just brush their teeth in hurry. Brushing teeth does not mean just rubbing your brush on the teeth for 20 to 30 seconds and it’s done. Often in hurry, we neglect many parts of our teeth and it increases plaque. So, we advise you all to give complete time in brushing your teeth. Clean your lower as well as upper molars completely.
